Hm, looks photoshopped to me. If not, better get a 9,3x62 immediatley. Or a .458 Win. Mag.
Frightening.

Anyway, I am out for today. It was nice to talk to you, hope to hear you again.
At the latest when you have bought this gun...
Merry christmas.

Very accurate, easy to handle, safe and stylish (in my eyes).
Same for me, like very much the looks of this gun - it often reminds me about my M66S. Don't owe a KR1, so can not contribute anything about the handling.
Why it isn't sold that much? Well, the competition is rather fierce and yes, there is this over-mighty R93 (R8) besides Sauer 202, Mauser M03 and Heym SR 30.

Hello,Hello Norway! with Merkel you cannot go wrong.Docter Optik in Eisfeld manufacture very good scopes.I would recommend a 1.5-6x42 in detachable swing out mounts,as Recknagel or Apel.If at short distance you need to despatch a wounded Elk off, take the scope off and stick in your pocket, shoot over iron sights.I I do not know who is Docters agent in Norway. If there is none than they will supply you directly.choice of reticle is a very personal matter, hence I stay out of it.The company is very experienced in building optics, before the re-unification they were part of Carl Zeiss,Jena.Herr DOCTER bought the company,so the name has nothing to do with surgery. Is it not wonderful that we now can very well communicate in English.Forget Google, its translations are a real joke ! Best regards and seasons Greetings, Lurcher

It is wonderful yes! Thank you for your reply!
I will take a look at docter! Is it similar to aimpoint? I must admit, I have ALSO seen the wild boar fever movies with the young count franz-ferdinand oettringen- spielberg - and it looks fantastic. But it is perhaps the shooter and not the reticle :31:

I have debated optics with my friends, an between the zeiss victory and the z6i, they say the entry size of the zeiss lens makes it faster to find the target, is this true?

Yes the DOCTER Sight is kind of aimpoint.Load down their www and you will see their entire range of optics. The scope I recommend for you is 1.5-6x42,and a pair of bins 7x40.These bins were constructed for the DDR army,no money has been saved-on the most severe tetst these glasses underwent.A private company could not have constructed these optics.Your question about the Zeiss and Victory,I cannot comment,as I have no Victory and never tried one either.Lurcher

Very interesting reply and i thank you for it! Is your opinion therefore that this particular model is superior to the aimpoint and zeiss compact alternatives?

I will most certainly take a close look at it.

I am currently looking at a Merkel KR1 Jagd .308 LINKS with a fluted barrel and grade 4 wood. At around 3300 euro, is this a decent buy?

Approximately 2800 Euros more than it is worth. A typically German "engineer brainfart". Apart from its blatant ugliness, the system is also utterly unpractical and damage-prone; as even the commonly jubilatory German gunwriters were forced to admit, slightly embarrassed.

Different my friend.I have only used the Docter sights so far.A gunsmithfriend of mine in Suhl has just mounted an Aimpoint sight, and was quite impressed by it.You will have to try them out and then have your choice.Lurcher
